There are rules that you must follow

Everyone in Sweden has a responsibility for not spreading covid-19.

This applies to both individuals and companies.

  • Stay at home if you have symptoms
  • Only meet those that you live with, or just a few friends
  • Keep your distance from others and avoid crowded areas
  • Travel safe from the risk of infection
  • Work from home as often as you can
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often

Provide a test sample for covid-19 if you have symptoms

Make an appointment for testing if you have symptoms of covid-19. It doesn’t cost anything.

For those of you who have a Swedish social security number and e-identification

You do the testing yourself at special self-testing stations. You must make an appointment.

How to book self-testing

1. Log in to 1177.se.

Adults

Representatives for children aged 6-12 years
Click on your child’s name when you have logged in. Select All other services (Alla övriga tjänster) and then Book self-testing covid-19 (Boka självprovtagning covid-19).

2. Order testing.

This is how self-testing works

1. Preferably drive your own car to the testing station, otherwise cycle, walk or use another means of transport where you travel by yourself.
2. Stay where you are instructed to do so by staff or sign
3. You must have a valid ID document with you. It is also good to have hand sanitiser, paper handkerchiefs and even a small mirror.
4. If you are driving, the staff will give you your self-testing package through your open car window. If you come by bike, walk or similar, the testing takes place outdoors.

This is how you get your test results

You will receive an answer within a few days via 1177 Vårdguiden’s e-services. Stay at home while you wait for your test result. If you feel worse call 1177 for advice or contact your healthcare centre (vårdcentral). In the case of acute illness call 112.

For those of you who do not have a Swedish social security number or e-identification

If you do not have a Swedish social security number, e-identification or for some other reason can not book an appointment via 1177.se, you can call the Pandemic Clinic on tel. 010-476 19 13 for testing. There are Pandemic Clinics in both Halmstad and Varberg. You can also contact a healthcare centre (vårdcentral) for help with testing.

  • A sample is taken at the Pandemic Clinic or the healthcare centre
  • You must have a valid ID document with you
  • You will get help when taking the test. A sample is taken from the throat and nose
  • The test costs nothing

This is how you get your test results

The clinic where you took the test will call you with your test result. They will only call if the test shows that you have covid-19. You will receive an answer within 3 working days. Stay at home while you wait for your test result. If you feel worse call 1177 for advice or contact a healthcare centre (vårdcentral). In the case of acute illness call 112.

If you become ill and need care

When you need care, you should contact your healthcare centre to book an appointment.

If you have symptoms of covid-19, contact the healthcare centre before you arrive.

If you need emergency care, call 112.

Vaccination against covid-19

Vaccination starts at the turn of the year and takes place during 2021 throughout Sweden. The vaccine is free and those who have the greatest need to be protected against becoming seriously ill will receive the vaccine first.

An antibody test shows if you have had covid-19

Those of you who are over 18 years old and have been free from colds, fever and other symptoms of covid-19 for at least 14 days can book an appointment for an antibody test. The test shows if you have developed antibodies, should this be the case it means that you have some protection against getting sick with covid-19 again.

You need to make an appointment at a healthcare centre to take an antibody test. The test costs SEK 200
